About Traning Women & Youths on Public speaking
The Women Too Africa (WTA) has successfully trained fifty Women and Youths on the Art of Public Speaking, on 12th August 2023.
The training, code named ASCEND ’23, was held at Black Nile Event Center Aare Avenue Bodija Ibadan, and tagged “The Art of Public Speaking- Becoming an Effective Communicator”.
Topics discussed by the Guest Speakers ranged from Developing Confidence and Overcoming Stage Fright, Crafting Captivating Speeches and Structuring Presentations, Building a Personal Brand and Establishing a Strong Presence, Utilizing Visual Aids and Technology Effectively.
The guest speakers are female individuals, who have distinguished themselves in their different field of endeavors namely, Folakemi Mighty, Jumoke Olowookere, Nafisat Adebukola, Esther Fashola, Taiwo Doyinsola Dorcas.
The speakers at the training emphasized the development of women personalities in various spheres, including leadership and politics, ditto their abilities to communicate effectively, particularly through public speaking, with great significance in leadership, enabling Nigerian women to convey their ideas and to plan more efficiently in their pursuits.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of Women Too Africa, Oloye Titilope Gbadamosi emphasized the importance of becoming an effective communicator, which is essential for everyone, beyond gender barriers, regardless of their backgrounds.
The Ọtun Iyalode of Eleyele Community highlighted how practicing public speaking, as an art can contribute immensely to the realization of one’s dream, as she led speakers and dignitaries at the event in awarding certificates to the participants.
The Community Relations Expert however appreciated everyone present, and enjoined the participants to make the most out of this rare opportunity, stressing that about 200 persons registered for the training, but stringent conditions were employed to select the lucky 50 individuals for the training, describing the support for the event as overwhelming and the impact, palpable.
Women Too Africa is Foundation aimed at creating an African community, where women are motivated, encouraged and mobilized towards active participation and representation in politics and leadership, as well as to make sure that the transition period of the girl child to womanhood is laced with the confidence needed to stand up for herself and other women in the political square and policy making, and also to objectively encourage the development and growth of the girl child.
Women Too Africa takes seriously, issues bothering on Investment, Empowerment, Education, Health, Leadership and Technology, not only of the girl child, but also the youths in the community.
